I had some free time on Thursday, and it was absolutely gorgeous outside. 80 and sunny. So I decided to take a little trip to the Denver Botanic Gardens. There is an exhibit there now called Moore in the Gardens. Henry Moore was an artist from Britain who created large-scale sculptures. I'm not really artsy-fartsy, but they were pretty cool. I took the bus there, and when I got off I could smell the place before I could even see it.
The first half hour or so I walked around I was a little bummed because I thought that I had missed the season. A lot of the paths were brown and things seem to have died for the Winter. Little did I know that I was in the wrong section of the huge garden. When I found the flowers, I was in heaven! Everything was just beautiful. There were actually a lot of people there. Mostly new moms with their babies sitting around under trees, and elderly people in wheel chairs being pushed by loved ones or having picnics. Which is pretty much the story of my life- doing things at the same time as stay-at-home-moms, or older people because everyone else my age actually works. :)
It was a really nice day for me, and I'm happy I took the time to go!

Glad you got a chance to see the Gardens! It's amazing how vibrant most of the gardens are this time of year. Great photos!
